Microsoft is up with a new challenge, as they are already prepared to launch the next version of Windows  OS the Windows 8.1. Microsoft has announced a bounty of $100,000 USD in a bid to encourage developers and security experts to find the bugs in their upcoming product Windows 8.1

This  program  which  starts on June 26  offers to pay $100,000 USD for finding the exploits in the Windows 8.1 preview. Windows 8.1 is  an update to Microsoft's brand new operating system Windows 8. Microsoft clearly want's to leave nothing to chance a far as securing the operating system is concerned.

In-order to participate in this program Microsoft indicated that individual must be at least 14 years old. They have also posted on the quality or submition of the entries should be. Though there are no restrictions on the number of qualified submissions an individual submitter can submit and be paid for ,all bounties will be paid out at Microsoft's direction, which may indeed be less than $100,000.

Microsoft is also offering an additional $50,000 BlueHat Bonus for those who submit a valid defense to block a bypass technique that qualifies for a bounty, making the total potential reward to $150,000 USD.

Microsoft has also announced other programs such as separate bounty for Internet Explorer and is said to pay up to $11,000 USD for critical vulnerabilities for IE 11 on Windows 8.1 Preview

HP ELITEPAD 900

 Technology company Hewlett Packard (HP) Thursday entered the table market in india , launching HP ElitePad, designed for bussiness and governments.

 " The tablet replaces primary computing devices and provides an eco-system which addresses the requirements of the enterprise, " Sunish Raghavan, head, commercial PC category, printing and personal systems group, HP India, told reports here.

 The Ultra thin , lightweight tablet with Windows 8 comes with optional smart jackets, which add connectivity options and an additional batteery for longer runtime.

 The price of the tablet starts at Rs 43,500.

 Raghavan said the tablet with enterprise-grade feature fuilfilled the needs of mobility and productivity while ensuring security.It offered a solution to the problems faced by enterprises with their employees craying multiple devices, compromising data security. It encompassed all features of a notebook and if the device is lost , one can remotely trace it and erace the data.

 The battery support the tablet for eight hours but with expanded battery it can be used for 19 hours . the other features of the 0.63 kg and 9.2 mm thin tablet include 10.1 inch diagonal and e-printing.

Microsoft thursday announced  a new range of accessories optimised for Windows 8. These accessories are Wedge Touch Mouse, Wedge Mobile Keyboard , Touch Mouse, Sculpt Touch Mouse  and Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500.

 Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse is an Ultraportable mouse designed to coplement the Windows 8 experience on both PCs and tablets that provides four -way touch scrolling and navigation.It is cable free and ships with blue track technology, which means that the mouse can be used on just about any surface. It can be paired with PC,tablets or laptop.It has been priced at Rs 3,015.

 Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard is designed for use on tablets and is equipped with Windows 8 Hot keys for quick search and sharing .It comes with a rubber cover that doubles up a tablet stand .It has been priced at Rs 4935.

 Microsoft Sculpt touch Mouse comes with a four-way touch strip and connects  to your device via Bluetooth.it is available for Rs 2,765.

 Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse comes with both vertical and horizontal scrolling as well as four -way touch strip that features three scrolling speeds .The Explorer Touch is a wireless  mouse that comes with five customisable buttons .it's priced at Rs 2,,935.

 Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 is a portable mouse targeted at laptop user that comes in variety of colors .It comes with a snap-in and space saving Nano transceiver that sticks out less than a  centimetr from the USB port, making it easy to leave it plugged in on .It comes with Blue Track technology as well . it is priced at Rs 1,205.

Sony india thursday unveiled the next generation hybrid ultrabook Vaio Duo 11. The device will be available in the stores by the end of the December for Rs 89,990. Sony had globally showcased Vaio Duo 11 in August 2012 . 

Sony vaio Duo 11 comes with what sony terms as the surf slider  design which helps the device to  switch  smoothly between Tablets and Pc modes .It comes with 11.6-inch (29.4cm) screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Vaio Duo 11 features a backlit keyboard , is 17.85 mm thin and weights 1.3 kilograms.

The device is powered by 3rd generation Intel core i5-3317U 1.7 GHz processor and runs on Windows 8. Other features include 4GB DDr3 SDRAM and 128 GB flash drive . Vaio Duo 11 comes with built-in 4,960mAh cell battery , which extends battery life to about 9 hours but will cost extra . As of Sony has not Zeroed in on the India price for this sheet- type battery.

There is 2 MP front camer on board . For connectivity sony Vaio Duo 11 comes with Bluetooth , USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet and VGA ports as well as a USB sleep charge that lets you charge USB device  like mobile s or music  player on the go even when PC is off.

The company shared that they currently no plans to come out with a similar product running on Windows RT.

 Microsoft crop opened its Windows 8 operating system for preorders on friday, setting the price for the full version of the software at $70 for a DVD pack. Users can also wait for launch on october 26 to download the system onto their computer for $40, an offer price that will expire at end of january. Shoppers can reserve the software pack at Microsoft own stores , Amazon.com,Best Buy, Staples and elsewhere. The price tag is significantly lower than the current price for a comparable version of windows 7, which cost $200. Any customer who buys, or already bought a windows 7 PC between june 2 and end of january 2013 will be able to get an upgrade to windows 8 pro for $15, a move designed to prevent a drop-off in pc sales before the launch of  Windows 8.
Microsoft also said PC makers as Acer, Asustech , Dell, HP, Ssamsung,and Sony were also now taking pre-order for machines with Windows 8 pre-installed. The world's largest software company did not mention its own Surface tablet PC , which is expected on the market at the same time as windows 8. Microsoft has not revelead Specification or price of the product .
