Sony Smart Watch II

Sony has launched the new version of the Smart Watch, which is named as Smart Watch 2 at Shanghai's Mobile Asia Expo.

The official Successor to Sony's Smart Watch , the new Sony Smart Watch 2 comes with a bigger 1.6-inch screen and has a resolution of 220 x 176 pixel. The old version had a smaller screen compared to the new model, about 1.3-inch screen at a resolution of 128 x 128. The new Sony smart Watch 2  can also be used  as a second-screen for any of the Android smartphones, with a feature to receive   notification from the phone and as well as control it.

The device makes it easy to access notification from your wrist such as messages ,calls , emails, Facebook or twitter, calender , or use it as remote for your Walkman or other digital media player . The device works as an NFC watch with all smartphones using the Google's mobile operating system Android 4.0  Ice Cream Sandwich and later versions. Sony has guaranteed 7 days of battery backup under low usage and   under normal usage is said to gave  about 3-4 days of battery backup.

The device can be charged with a micro USB and  contains Bluetooth connectivity (Bluetooth 3.0). The device comes with many language support such as English master, Chinese (trad), Danish, Dutch ,English, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Portuguese, Creche, Russian, Polish, Spanish & Swedish. There are many apps or plugins that are already ready for the device such as App recommender , SMS , Facebook , Twitter , MMS , Missed call notification , Calender notification , Email, Google+, New events-aggregate, RSS , Gamil , Viewfinder ,Phonebook ,Music player, Find phone, Call log , Weather , Time ,Date etc.

The device can be used to  prepare presentations  via presentation pal service .The map integrated within the Smart Watch can guide you to various destinations . The device performs as an overall replica of your android smartphone and improve its functionality and other features.

By introducing the new Smart Watch 2 Sony intended to make use of the dominance of the Google's Android Operating System in the world of mobile computing. This device is the perfect integration with the Android device's to enhance it's functionality.

Sony Smart Watch 2 is expected to be available worldwide in the coming September, the price of the device is not out yet.




Sony is all set to launch its latest set of flagship smartphones in Germany. If reports in Telecompaper are to be belived , then Xperia ZL will be making its way to retail shelves in the country by April 2013. The smartphone will be carrying a price tag of 599.99 euros

Sony had unveiled its Xperia Z and Xperia ZL smartphones at the Consumer Electronics show (CES) 2013. Just  a few days ago, Sony Xperia Z (SO-02E) started retailing in japan through the telecom operator NTT Docomo for 80430 Yen.

 Furthermore , it is expected that this smartphone  will be available in europe by the end of februray and make its way to india by March.

However ,for now there is no news of when Xperia ZL will be available  in  other markets.Just to recap Sony Xperia ZL sports a 5-inch screen with 1080 display , which  has 443ppi. It also comes with Sony BRAVIA video processor.

The device will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box along with a layer of Timescape UI. There is a 13-Mp rear camera along with Sony's EXMOR RS sensors

. Xperia ZL comes witth 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor , 2GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD card. There is 2370 mAh Li-ion battery on-board. Unlike the Xperia Z , this smartphone is not dust and water resistant.

2013 is being called the Year of smartphones and phablets and for good reason. A nice category that came into existance with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note , is now being populated with devices from companies like Huawei , HTC , ZTE and even Indian manufactures like Micromax , Karbonn and Byond.


Sony that had already entered the category with 5-inch full HD Xperia Z , which it unveils at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) . It now seems to be working on a much bigger phablet this time round.


Engadget reports that a leaked image posted on Chinese-language Digi-wo forum shows a 6.44-inch display screen along with a claim that the screen for this component has 1080p HD resolution.


 Apart from this , there is no other detail regarding the device . For all we know , it could just be  a prototype  of an upcoming device or even a fake image. 


Indian device manufacturer Byond Tech recently introduced Phablet PIII sporting a massive 6.3-inch display. Karbon on other hand  launched the dula -SIM A30 Android device with a 5.9-inch display .Micromax has launched A116 Canavas HD with a 5-inch 720p IPS display

Sony india thursday unveiled the next generation hybrid ultrabook Vaio Duo 11. The device will be available in the stores by the end of the December for Rs 89,990. Sony had globally showcased Vaio Duo 11 in August 2012 . 

Sony vaio Duo 11 comes with what sony terms as the surf slider  design which helps the device to  switch  smoothly between Tablets and Pc modes .It comes with 11.6-inch (29.4cm) screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Vaio Duo 11 features a backlit keyboard , is 17.85 mm thin and weights 1.3 kilograms.

The device is powered by 3rd generation Intel core i5-3317U 1.7 GHz processor and runs on Windows 8. Other features include 4GB DDr3 SDRAM and 128 GB flash drive . Vaio Duo 11 comes with built-in 4,960mAh cell battery , which extends battery life to about 9 hours but will cost extra . As of Sony has not Zeroed in on the India price for this sheet- type battery.

There is 2 MP front camer on board . For connectivity sony Vaio Duo 11 comes with Bluetooth , USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet and VGA ports as well as a USB sleep charge that lets you charge USB device  like mobile s or music  player on the go even when PC is off.

The company shared that they currently no plans to come out with a similar product running on Windows RT.

Sony has Oficially anounced the launch of the Xperia Micro, Xperia SL and Xperia J smartphones in india . The latest addition to the Xperia Series are now available across major retail outlets in the country.

The Xperia Micro was anounced way back in june along with Xperia tipo and tipo dual smartphones. More recentlay the smartphone was available in country on flipkart as well as Sony's offical website for Rs  15,249/-

The Sony Xperia Micro is powered by an 800 MHz processor with 512 MB RAM . It has 3GB internal storage expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card. It will come in 4 colours: black,gold pink and silver.

The Sony Xperia XL now officially priced at Rs 32,549/- has been available for a month via various online retailers. This Xpreria smart phone  features a 4.3-inch scratch resistant TFT  display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It runs on Android 4.0 and is powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm dual core processor hosting 1GB RAM.

A sucessor  to the Xperia S, the Smartphone offers 32Gb internal storage and also features like NFC capablities and FM radio and lot more.

The Xperia j was released alongside the Xperia V and the xperia T smartphones and recently went up for pre-order . it is now priced at Rs 18,399. The device is 9.2 mm thick and has a 4-inch display which is capacitive touch screen with gorilla glass coating . It runs in Android 4.0. The device has 5 MP autofocus camera with LED Flash and VGA front camera. The device us Qualcomm dual core processor 1GHz with 512 MB RAm and 4GB storage expandable to 32GB

Sony has also slashed prices of its existing range of xperia smartphones earlier this month for the festive season . The device that got price cut across all market were Xperia U, Xperia P, Xperia GO and Xperia ION.

Sony Crop Said it has halted its Xperia tablets PC"s , amonth after its launch , after discovering gaps between the screen and the case that make some of the machine suscepetable to water damage . THe proble with the tablet, which is supposed to be water resistant , is the result of manufaturing flaw at the chinese plant where it is fabricated, said Sony spokewoman Noriko Shoji. Sony has not yet decided when it will resume sales, she added. 

Sony began selling its Android tablets on setember 7 in the united states followed by launch in japan, Europe and elsewhere. So fsr it has shipped around 100,000 devices . The company said it will fix any of the tablet sold and expect s the cost of recall to have no significanet impact on earnings , The latest tablet from sony , which like its smartphone has been branded Xperia in bid to unify its mobile device under one name, joins a crowded market of tablets ins still dominated by apple inc 's ipad and Samsung Electronics CO LTD, with its android machine, leads the back of apple challengers.
  

Microsoft crop opened its Windows 8 operating system for preorders on friday, setting the price for the full version of the software at $70 for a DVD pack. Users can also wait for launch on october 26 to download the system onto their computer for $40, an offer price that will expire at end of january. Shoppers can reserve the software pack at Microsoft own stores , Amazon.com,Best Buy, Staples and elsewhere. The price tag is significantly lower than the current price for a comparable version of windows 7, which cost $200. Any customer who buys, or already bought a windows 7 PC between june 2 and end of january 2013 will be able to get an upgrade to windows 8 pro for $15, a move designed to prevent a drop-off in pc sales before the launch of  Windows 8.

Microsoft also said PC makers as Acer, Asustech , Dell, HP, Ssamsung,and Sony were also now taking pre-order for machines with Windows 8 pre-installed. The world's largest software company did not mention its own Surface tablet PC , which is expected on the market at the same time as windows 8. Microsoft has not revelead Specification or price of the product .
