SAMSUNG CHAT ON UPDATED

 Samsung has brought new updates to ChatOn messaging platform , the Korean manufacturer has given ChatOn a major upgrade to match the recent milestone.

The update  brings along a new flat interface that  feels better with Google's design guidelines for Android, and there are new features as well. These features include the option to change the background of the My page section, ability to upload images, videos and location information on the other profiles via PostOn .  The update also allows sharing of news from Live partners to your ChatOn friends .

The new update also provide fix for  Samsung's Push service , so it should work better for everyone post-update. The ChatOn also works on non samsung devices as well so go and grab the app from play store

SAMSUNG LAUNCHES MANGA AND PAPER ARTIST APP FOR WINDOWS PHONES, DOWNLOAD NOW

Samsung is recently trying their best to overtake Nokia in the Windows Phone ,being the best seller  in  Android  smartphones and tablets Samsung now has eye on the next giant the Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.  Even though Samsung's ATIV phones din't sell much compared to Nokia's Lumias , but the company has still found reason to launch two new photo effect apps for the few users that are using an ATIV Windows Phone 8.

The new MagaCamera app lets you to turn your photo into cartoons , and applies effects in real-time when you're pointing your camera at something. You can download additional frames apart from one that come with app, and the app also registers itself in the lenses menu so you can access it right from the default camera app on Windows Phone.

As for paper Artist, it's basically a more advanced version of MagaCamera as it allows you to put different types of filters on photos instead of just cartoons. You can either import photos or take new ones with effects shown in real-time. Both MagaCamera and Paper Artist allow you to share edited images through the Share option.

Both apps are exclusively to ATIV devices and can be downloaded from Windows Phone Store.

SAMSUNG CAUGHT ON OPTIMIZING GALAXY S4 BENCHMARK

Popular website Anandtech has revealed that Samsung has been optimizing the Exynos 5 Octa powered Samsung Galaxy S4 for benchmarks. A forum post by AnderiF on the Beyond3D forum in June, that alleged that Samsung was over-clocking the phone's graphic processor to 5333MHz for certain benchmark, while other apps or games were limited to 480 MHz , inspired the folks over at Anandtech to investigate the issue.

The website informs that Samsung is over-clocking the Galaxy S4's Coretex A15 cores to 1.2 GHz while running the GLBenchmark 2.55.1, AnTuTu , Linpack and Quadrant apps for bench-marking. However, the phone's processor ran at 533 MHz while performing bench-marking test. It runs at 480 MHz, otherwise.

The report also mentions that Samsung includes a code referred to as " Benchmark Booster" that essentially trigger the phone's hardware to run at higher clock speed when benchmark test are run.

The whole expose reveals that benchmark cannot be relied upon to gauge the everyday performance odf smartphone or tablets, and hardware makers are tricking reviewers and end users who rely only on benchmark while recommending or buying a device.

Recently Samsung has responded to report , saying it did not use any specific tools to archive higher benchmarks. However , its statement  completely ignores the damning bits Anandtech found in the code. 

SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 CAUSE FIRE

If you are a Samsung Galaxy owner then the recent news became serious concern. The recent images that are out shows a Samsung Galaxy S4 getting overheated and culminates into a fire that damages the phone and is known to have potential to harm the user.

The image shows a Galaxy S4 device  of a UAE customer who bought the device in may, almost after a month the device burned down when kept for charging overnight. From the image its clear that the microUSB port and the USB cable are completely burnt while the flip cover reviving some damage as well.
The good new is that no one got hurt during the incident. Samsung has agreed to exchange it for new Galaxy S4 and a flip cover .But the security for the users is still a concern

What we could expect that Samsung will have an update for the phone to overcome the fault in their latest flagship Galaxy S4.

LEAKED IMAGES OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 LTE-A

  Here shows the leaked images of Samsung's new smartphone the Galaxy S4 LTE-A has . The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A is a variant of the Galaxy S4. The smartphone is expected to be announced in this week on South Korea's STK and KT network.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A is powered by the Qualcomm's fastest processor the Sanpdragon 800. The clock speed of the processor is not known yet. The phone as it's name specify support LTE-A which will offer up to 2 or 3 times faster data speed than the 4G LTE version.

Even though the release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A in South Korea is nearby, no details are yet out on it's release outside Korea.

LEAKED IMAGES OF SAMSUNG GALAXY NX ANDROID CAMERA

Samsung is now ready to announce their new android camera Samsung Galaxy NX . A website  tinthe.vn posted some of the images of the new Samsung Galaxy NX  Camera that run's on Google's Android Software.

The Galaxy NX is a next generation of the  Galaxy Camera  that the Samsung  introduce this year. This deice is said to be launched in London next week. The Camera have  APS-C 20.3 Megapixel sensors,  with 1080p HD recording and 4.8-inch HD display. The device is powered by Samsung's Exynos 4 Quad-Core processor and consist of 2 GB of RAM . Galaxy NX comes with 8 or 16 GB of internal storage. Together with the press shots we also see a couple of lenses, the standard 18-55mm , 55-200 and another 85mm.

SAMSUNG LAUNCHED GALAXY ACE III

Samsung the leading smartphone maker has now announced their latest flagship device the Galaxy Ace III . The Samsung Galaxy Ace III known by the code name GT-S7270 comes in  duo sim (GT-S7272) and without duo sim (GT-s7270) and  LTE  (GT-S7275).

The new Galaxy Ace III has a 4.0-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 800 and a 5 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. There is also a VGA front camera featured to the device. The Galaxy Ace III is powered by a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor.

The smartphone comes with an internal storage of  4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB using MicroSD. The other main fetures include Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS , Wi-Fi, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and  HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. the phone comes with  a battery of 1500 mAh.

GALAXY NOTE III PROTOTYPE SHOWED

The pictures of the new Samsung Galaxy Note III has been leaked for the first time. From the photo it's clear that the screen size  is pretty big and design seems different from their other flagship device's. And  it also seems that the resolution of the screen is Full HD.

The functions oft he device is yet to be revealed and  this device expect to be announced  by Samsung  in IFA 2013 in Berlin.

The Samsung Galaxy Note III is rumored to have a 5.99-inch sAMOLED display and a 13 Megapixel  rear camera. The phone is powered with Octa-Core Snapdragon 800 processor. the S pen feature is also available and works on Android 4.2.2 or 4.3. The phone also features Samsung's own Touch-Wiz Nature UX.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 ZOOM PICTURE LEAKED FOR FIRST TIME

Samsung  is in it's  preparations to announce their next flagship device Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom on june 20th in London. The latest leaks shows the leaked image of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. The photo was published today.

As per the recent leaks Galaxy S4 Zoom uses a 4.4 "qHD sAMOLED display and works with a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor. The Device comes with a 16 Megapixel  camera with optical zoom and with a storage of 8 GB expandable up to 64 GB with microSD. the other specs areBluetooth 4.0 LE Wi-fi (802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS.

The Galaxy S4 is added with a shutter button to the device and  the volume rockers or zoom buttons are on the right side. Galaxy S4 Zoom runs on Samsung's own Touch-Wiz Nature UX interface with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on it.

SAMSUNG TO LAUNCH 5.9-INCH PHABLET THIS YEAR

Samsung will be unvelling its latest Galaxy S IV flagship in a Week's time . But fresh reports comming from The Korean Times claim that the Korean manufacturer is already gearing up for a 5.9-inch device to be introduced in the "later half of this year"

"Samsung is working on introducing a new phablet using a 5.9-inch organic light-emiting diode (OLED) screen" , an official told The Korean Times on condition of anonymity.

The official also mentioned that new device will be powered by the proprietary Exynos Octa Processor.  Citing "an inside  source from Samsung " , the report mentions that the company expects to sell larger numer of phablet in the near future ,  which should help it maintain its leading position in the smartphone sales rankings.

Whether or not this is seperate from the 6.3-inch Galaxy Note III currently in the making , remains to be seen . Earlier  reports from The Korea Times  indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Note III will sport a 6.3 -inch screen and will  perhaps come with the recent announced Exynos 5 Octa Processor.

A December  report also mentioned that  in 2013 , Samsung  will be cutting down its down its invesment in the Liquid  Crystal display (LCD) units and concentrating more on organic  Light-emitting diode (OLED) and  plastic -based flexible displays.

Samsung pioneered the phablet category with the 5.3 inch Galaxy Note introduced  in October 2011 and its subseqent sucessor the Note II on Agust 2012.

Samsung Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III Price Cuts in India

Samsung India has dropped the price of its flagship smartphone the Galaxy S III, as well as the hot-selling phablet the Galaxy Note II.

Samsung Galaxy S III is now official retail stores across the country for Rs 28,990 with the Galaxy Note II now retailing for Rs 34,990. Some dealers have been spotted selling at even lower prices online as well as offline.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S III in india back in May last year for MRP of Rs 43,180. The  phone comes with a 4.8-inch display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad -core processor alongside  1Gb of RAM. It features a 8-MP rear camera as well as a 1.9 MP front camera . The Phone Shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but has since recived the Jelly Bean update.

Samsung Galaxy Note II is the sucessor to the Galaxy Note Original Phablet that started the craze of large screen phones.

In November , samsung announced sales of this phablet had topped 3 million units in the first 5 weeks . By the end of the month , the Korean manufacturer reported  that the sales of its device topped 5 million.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2 311

Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 311 is now available in the country and is listed on the company's official e-store for Rs 13,900. The tablet is also being on ebay india for Rs 13,8999.

The Galaxy Tab 2 311 (P3110) boasts similar specs in comparison to its 3G sibilling , the Galaxy Tab 2 310 , expect that this one is missing 3G support.

Measuring 193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5 mm and weighing 341g , the tablet sports a 7-inch PLS TFT LCD display with a 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) resolution. The tablet comes pre-installed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a 3-MP rear and VGA cameras.

On the inside , the tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and has 16GB of internal storage with external expansion support upto 32GB via microSD. It comes with a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0

The Galaxy Tab 2 311 comes with a host of Pre-loaded educational contest as well and users can download additional content  from the company's My educational service.

The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was the first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet from Korean manufaturer and comes with features like 1GHz  dual-core processor , 3MP rear Camera , VGA front camera and 1GB of RAM.

The next Generation Galaxy tablets will include the 8-inch, 10.1-inch and Galaxy Tab 3 Plus versions that will be launched in separate Wi-Fi and LTE variants as well . The Galaxy Note 8.0 is confirmed to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress later  this month.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8 LEAK

There seems to plenty of leaks around the devices that we might see at the Mobile Congress (MWC) 2013 . The latest to join the league is Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

According to SamMobile, this new tablet will sport 8-inch 1280 x 800 TFT (Super clear LCD) display. It is expected to come in twoversions -Samsung GT-N5100, which will be a 3G+Wi-Fi version and the GT-N5110, which will be a Wi-Fi only version. The website also claims the dimensions of the tablet will be 211.3 x 136.3 x 7.95 mm and will weight around 330g.

Other rumoured spec for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 include 4600mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, option of 16 or 32GB as internal storage, 5-mgapixel rear caamera and 1.3 MP front camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is likely to run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Other connectivity options may include Bluetooth version 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and A-GPS.

Just like other members of Note series , Samsung Galaxy Note 8 too will support S-pen .Thoug there is no information available on cost but gizmag.com feels that given tablet's mid-range componets may be priced as much as ipad mini or lesser.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S IV RUMERED TO HAVE S -PEN STYLUS AND TO BE LAUNCHED IN APRIL

The next iteration of the samsung's flagship device , the Galaxy  S IV is rumoured to come with the famed S-Pen stylus as seen in it's 5-inch Phablets the Galaxy Note and Note II.

The repots Via Korean site eNuri that the Galaxy S IV is the first smartphone in the series to feature the stylus as korean manufaturer seeks to "unite its Note series with the flagship Galaxy S IV " allegedly confirmed by a quote from a Samsung official.

According to latest rumour from Sammobile , the Samsung Galaxy S IV is being develouped under the codename 'Project J' and is likely to be launched in April next year.

Reports have indicated that the Galaxy S IV will indeed comes with a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution , giving it a pixel density of 441ppi. That repots is in line with other rumours which suggest that Samsung and LG are working on smartphone with full-HD display , which may be released in  first -half of 2013.

Additionally, murmurs are that the new Samsung Android flagship will run on Jelly Bean and features a 2GHz quad-core  Exynos processor and an 8-core GPU. It is also rumoured that the smartphones will use ARM big. Little architecture featuring a combination of energy-efficient A7 processor and an A15 one for simply and heavy task processing.

Other rumours suggest thst the device will come with an unbreakeable screen that could be a great attraction for the smartphone in  terms of sales . Samsung , has not made any statments in this regard.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 800

The stylus is back in business and we should give Samsung for this which released its first S-Pen sporting device , the Galaxy note last year . The so - called yablet turned out to be adecent sucess for the company. The Korean manufacturer has forward to reveal the sucessor and  a bigger version of its Galaxy Note in form of Note 2 and Note 800 respectively.
Samsung Galaxy note is yet  to reach india , but tne note 800 has already launched in the country. Packing a quad - core processor and ice cream Sandwich, the tablet looks enticing on paper but do the specs translate into real perfomance ? we shall find out soon.
Samsung has played safe and kept the looks of the note 800 similar to its other tablets . Blame its own design patent troubles with Apple , or just lazieness, there is nothing extraordinary about Samsung Galaxy Note 800's looks . That said it isnt bad either . the Note 800 is decent looking Android tablet ,all plastic build make it looks cheap. You can even feel the plastic in your hands .
At just 0.35 inch thickness , samsung Galaxy note 800 is slim and feels light in hand , so at least wont have trouble holding it for long durations. The front of the tablet is largely taken by 10.1-inch display which is surrounded by  a huge bezel and dark silver border framing sterio speakers.

The 10.1 -inch display on the note 800 comes with 1280 x 800 resolution , which is slowly becoming obsolete for 10- inch or bigger tablets and the full -HD is the latest trend . Apart from that the veiwing angles are decent and display is suficcently  bright. The color reproduction is also good
We are'nt the ones who click photographs with our 10-inch tablets and Galaxy Note 800 dosen't offer anything that'll change that. Samsung has included a 5MP rear camera with LED flash on the tablet. which in no way is spectcular. The tablet also comes with 1.9MP front camera for video chating.
The note 800 includes a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM, which makes it one of the most powerful devices in the market . And run on Android 4.0 Operating System


Samsung has also included S-pen and the supported app ecosystem . Since the original Note , Samsung has improved quite a few elements in the styles and it is more fluid  The S-pen now support upto 1024 degree of pressure  it is quite useful .  The tablet may cost you around Rs 39,990/-.

GOOGLE, SAMSUNG TO SELL CHROME BOOK FOR $ 249

Google is  dangling a low - priced laptop computer in front of consumers as rival Microsoft and apple prepare to release their latest gadgets. The lightweight computer unvelied thursday will sell for $ 249 and is beign made in a partnership with Samsung electronics co ltd, which also makes smartphones and tablets that run on Google's Android Software. The laptop will run on operating system revolving around chrome web browser. Like other so- called chromebooks , this laptop dosen't have a hard drive . It functions like a terminal dependent on an internet connection to get to information and application stored in large data centres run by Google inc or others. It's the least expensive Chromebook that Google has released in the two years that it has been working on the product line . The lower-priced model will go on sale early next week in more than 500 best buy stores in US as well as various websites. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 mini is powred by a dual-core 1 GHz processor and features a 5 MP camera . It has a 1500 mAh battery and 8/16GB internal storage options. Microsoft Reveals Windows 8 Price , Opens for Pre-order

  

Microsoft crop opened its Windows 8 operating system for preorders on friday, setting the price for the full version of the software at $70 for a DVD pack. Users can also wait for launch on october 26 to download the system onto their computer for $40, an offer price that will expire at end of january. Shoppers can reserve the software pack at Microsoft own stores , Amazon.com,Best Buy, Staples and elsewhere. The price tag is significantly lower than the current price for a comparable version of windows 7, which cost $200. Any customer who buys, or already bought a windows 7 PC between june 2 and end of january 2013 will be able to get an upgrade to windows 8 pro for $15, a move designed to prevent a drop-off in pc sales before the launch of  Windows 8.
Microsoft also said PC makers as Acer, Asustech , Dell, HP, Ssamsung,and Sony were also now taking pre-order for machines with Windows 8 pre-installed. The world's largest software company did not mention its own Surface tablet PC , which is expected on the market at the same time as windows 8. Microsoft has not revelead Specification or price of the product .
