 Apple has launched their new iPhone 5C  and is said to be a budget phone from Apple. Like it or not, the iPhone 5C is now official and it is exactly the smartphone that rumors have been describing for months. The new iPhone 5C is made of plastic ,trimmed down, slightly cheaper version of Apple's iconic handset. The iPhone 5C is available in 5 colors including White , Red , Yellow , Blue  and Green. Apple had announced two new phones on Tuesday. The iPhone 5C sports a brand new hard-coated poly-carbonate casing but features almost the same internals as the iPhone 5, including the same A6 chip, 4-inch Retina display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixel and 8 megapixel rear camera.

IPHONE 5S AND IPHONE 5C FRESH LEAKS

While Apple's next generation iPhone and the much talked about low-cost iPhone or the iPhone 5C are expected to be announced in less than three weeks , the leaks just don't stop tricking.

The Gold iPhone 5S back casing features white colored strips at top and bottom, and includes the new pill shaped camera flash module that's been suggested by a number of rumors. Unlike the iPhone 5C's camera flash iPhone 5S flash is not round and is rumored to feature dual-LEDs, which would have white or yellow light depending on th ambit light conditions.

The new photo gallery offers sets of pictures featuring the iPhone 5S display assembly, back housing, internal components , SIM Trays, and the iPhone 5S back casing, components and display assembly. The Red iPhone 5C variant appears to have a Black colored display panel.The Red iPhone 5C appears to have a Black colored display panel.

The phone seen in the images are not very different from the ones seen in previous leaks. However , it did not include the top and bottom glass strip as well as Volume rocker and Mute Keys.

The iPhone 5S is expected to come with a branad new Apple chip, the A7, alongside 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM, retaining the form factor of the iPhone 5 . A 128 GB storage variant of the phone has also been rumored . The iPhone 5S is likely to come with larger f2.0 aperture compared to iPhone 5, that comes with f2.4 aperture.

The low cost iPhone or iPhone 5C has leaked several times. Alleged pictures of the iPhone 5C have revealed a plastic poly carbonate body back panel in white , blue, red, yellow and green colors a round camera lens and LED flash, Apple logo and iPhone branding.

The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S is expected to be launched on September 10.

NOKIA LUMIA 925 PRE-ORDERS AVAILABLE IN INDIA FOR Rs 33,999

Nokia has yet to officially announce its Lumia 925 in India but the handset has popped up on Flipkart carrying a price tag of Rs 33,999.

The Nokia Lumia 925 was introduced back in May at an event in London and was seen as a new interpretation of company's  flagship Nokia Lumia 920. The Nokia Lumia 925 is a premium smartphone and sports a metal frame with poly-carbonate back cover. As  far as the specs on the device go , it comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED ClearBalck display with 768 x 1280 resolution and Gorilla 2 Glass. It has an 8.7-megapixel PureView rear camera and 1.2-megapixel wide-angle front camera. It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor alongside 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage.

With launch of the Lumia 925, the company also introduced the new Nokia Smart Camera mode that offers an easy way to capture  10  images at once and edit the picture with options like Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus. this device comes with a 2,000 mAh Battery and runs on Windows Phone 8.

The online retailer is taking pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 925 and claims the estimated release of the device to be fourth week of August. The handset is available in two colors variants Black and Grey.

With the Nokia Lumia 925 now set to make its way to India , the wait for Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 625 continues.

SAMSUNG CAUGHT ON OPTIMIZING GALAXY S4 BENCHMARK

Popular website Anandtech has revealed that Samsung has been optimizing the Exynos 5 Octa powered Samsung Galaxy S4 for benchmarks. A forum post by AnderiF on the Beyond3D forum in June, that alleged that Samsung was over-clocking the phone's graphic processor to 5333MHz for certain benchmark, while other apps or games were limited to 480 MHz , inspired the folks over at Anandtech to investigate the issue.

The website informs that Samsung is over-clocking the Galaxy S4's Coretex A15 cores to 1.2 GHz while running the GLBenchmark 2.55.1, AnTuTu , Linpack and Quadrant apps for bench-marking. However, the phone's processor ran at 533 MHz while performing bench-marking test. It runs at 480 MHz, otherwise.

The report also mentions that Samsung includes a code referred to as " Benchmark Booster" that essentially trigger the phone's hardware to run at higher clock speed when benchmark test are run.

The whole expose reveals that benchmark cannot be relied upon to gauge the everyday performance odf smartphone or tablets, and hardware makers are tricking reviewers and end users who rely only on benchmark while recommending or buying a device.

Recently Samsung has responded to report , saying it did not use any specific tools to archive higher benchmarks. However , its statement  completely ignores the damning bits Anandtech found in the code. 

LEAKED IMAGES OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 LTE-A

  Here shows the leaked images of Samsung's new smartphone the Galaxy S4 LTE-A has . The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A is a variant of the Galaxy S4. The smartphone is expected to be announced in this week on South Korea's STK and KT network.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A is powered by the Qualcomm's fastest processor the Sanpdragon 800. The clock speed of the processor is not known yet. The phone as it's name specify support LTE-A which will offer up to 2 or 3 times faster data speed than the 4G LTE version.

Even though the release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A in South Korea is nearby, no details are yet out on it's release outside Korea.

HTC ONE MAX BLUEPRINT LEAKED

Last week some initial reports and rumors surfaced claiming to have the full specs and details on an upcoming HTC smartphone code named the |HTC T6. Previously thought to be a device over 5-inch to replace the HTC Butterfly and DROID DNA, we're now lead to belive this will be called the HTC One Max, and looks exactly the original HTC One.

Today a blueprint or final visual draft has leaked  of the HTC T6 and it's officially being called the HTC One Max. Along with the Leak we have a confirmation that the display will indeed be 5.9-inches, and be a 1080p full HD display. Interestingly enough the leak give us a full breakdown on the device , but it doesn't appears to be much longer than the original 4.7-inch HTC One, which leaves us a bit confused.

Along with a 5.9-inch HD display, Qualcomm's new snapdragon 800 series 2.3 Ghz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM, the leak also staes it will rock an UltraPixel camera, 16 GB of storage and have a lrge 3,300mAh battery on board. Oddly we also see 140.4mm in length and 9.4 mm thick. the original 4.7 HTC Obe was 137mm. So this dosen't appear to be much longer.

According to Mobileleaks it's possible the new HTC One Max will be slightly longer, and slightly wider, which will make up for the 5.9-inch screen size. Then as the blueprint shows HTC will be bringing an extremely thin bezel to the device , so it won't take up as much space previous handset's yet still fit that massive 5.9-ich HD display inside.

The details just continue to pile up on this new smartphone coming from HTC, but we'll have to see it in the wild before we truly belive all these recent leaks. The report states it will be unveiled at IFA 2013 in Berline late August.

HTC E1 SMARTPHONE

   HTC has started shipping its E1 Smartphones in China. HTC is pegging this smartphone as an dual-SIM smartphone that can customize . You can choose to have either 8GB or 16GB as an  internal storage smartphone . Also you can opt for HTC E1 with wither 5-MP rear camera or 8-MP rear camera.Lastly , There are six colour options available for the back panel to help you pick the color that works best for you.

As per Engadget, HTC partnered with micro-blogging site Sina Weibo to 'suggest' customization for this smartphone. HTC and Sina are suggesting custom specifications of HTC E1 based on your Zodiac and Gender .
Though HTC E1 does not offer a great deal of option to customization but it is certainly an interesting marketing initative, and one that may catch with other major manufacturers as well.

The other specifications for HTC E1 are 4.3-inch super LCD2 WVGA display, 1.14GHz dual-core processor , 1GB of RAM, Beats Audio sound , 2100mAh battery 2MP front facing camera and the smartphone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) along with a layer of Sense UI 4.0+

As  per HTC's China website, HTC E1 will cost between 1,6999 Chinese yuan ( about Rs 14,800 to ) to 1,899 yuan (about Rs 16,500) based on the customization.

HTC had offically launched HTC E1 about a month ago. As of now , There is no word on whether HTC will be making its HTC E1 available in other markets and whether it  will be offering similar set of customisable  in these markets as well..

Karbonn has added yet another budget Android smartphone  to its Duple series as the Karbonn Retina A27, the device is now available with online retailer Saholic for Rs 9,090.

The device comes with  a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixel ) IPS display running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.It features  an 8-megapixel auto focus camera with flash and a 2-megapixel font-facing camera as well.

On the inside , the device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor alongside 512MB RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage with expansion support upto 32GB via microSD.

The karbonn Retina A27 is dual-sim (GSM + GSM) device with dual standby support and comes with an 1800mAh battery. It supports an array of audio and video formats.

Pre-installed apps on the smartphone include Flipboard, News and wether apps, Facebook and twitter . Connectivity wise, the device boasts Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n , 3G, bluetooh and A2DP, Micro-USB. GPRS and EDGE.

Other offering from Karbonn in the Duple series include Karbonn A9+ and A21 priced at Rs 9,900 and Rs 11,990 respectively . The device were launched in November last year.

The company recently launched the Karbonn S1 Titanium featuring a 4.5-inch qHD multitouch capacitive touch dispaly, Android 4.1 and a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU for Rs 10,990.

Largerhe  screen smartphones seems to be the flavor of the season. The Indian handset maker Karbonn Mobile is all set to launch another contender in this segment. Dubbed Karbonn A12, the smartphone is already available online .

 Saholic has listed Karbonn A12 for Rs 7,6999 and is promising to ship this smatphone  within four businnes day. While on Flipkart, this smartphone is avialble for Rs 7,900 and will be delivered within 10 businnes days.

Karbonn A12 is a Dual-SIM smartphone , which comes with 4.5inch capacitive touchscreen and has a qHD display. It is powered by a 1GHz processor accompanied by 512MB of RAM. The internal storage  available on the device is 4Gb , which can be expanded by up to 32Gb via microSD card.

For camera, there is a 5-Mp rear camera, along with LED flash and VGA camera in the front for video chatting.karbonn A12 is powered by 1,800mAh battery.

 The smartphone  runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) . Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The  latst smartphone from Karbonn will be competing with Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102  and Spice Stellar Nhance Mi-435. Both of these smartphones are dual-sim smartphones.

BlackBerry Z10 to be launched in India

Blackberry is all set to launch its flagship smartphone in india on February 25, 2013. The company has already sent out teaser invites for an event at Mumbai.

As per earlier reports Blackberry was slated to announce this phone in india on february 24 ,2012 and indicative pricing for Z10 is being speculated around Rs 39,000.

 It is expected that this smartphone will start retailling in india soon after the launch in both in balack and white color.

The Balckberry Z10 smartphone is already available in UK and Canada andhas recived a good responce in these markets. The company is slated to QWERTY smartphones based on blacberry 10, called Blackberry Q10 by March 2013.

Overall , it is expected that there will be a total of six Blackberry z10 to be around Rs 39,000 but we  belive that in order to be competitive in the indian market, it will make sense if the company will price the device closer to Rs 35,000.

 At this price , Blackberry smartphones will be priced competitively to Nokia Lumina 920 and Samsung Galaxy Note II , which after recent price cut avilable for Rs 34,990.

SONY XPERIA ZL

Sony is all set to launch its latest set of flagship smartphones in Germany. If reports in Telecompaper are to be belived , then Xperia ZL will be making its way to retail shelves in the country by April 2013. The smartphone will be carrying a price tag of 599.99 euros

Sony had unveiled its Xperia Z and Xperia ZL smartphones at the Consumer Electronics show (CES) 2013. Just  a few days ago, Sony Xperia Z (SO-02E) started retailing in japan through the telecom operator NTT Docomo for 80430 Yen.

 Furthermore , it is expected that this smartphone  will be available in europe by the end of februray and make its way to india by March.

However ,for now there is no news of when Xperia ZL will be available  in  other markets.Just to recap Sony Xperia ZL sports a 5-inch screen with 1080 display , which  has 443ppi. It also comes with Sony BRAVIA video processor.

The device will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box along with a layer of Timescape UI. There is a 13-Mp rear camera along with Sony's EXMOR RS sensors

. Xperia ZL comes witth 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor , 2GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD card. There is 2370 mAh Li-ion battery on-board. Unlike the Xperia Z , this smartphone is not dust and water resistant.

HUAWAEI ASCEND P2 FULL-HD

A copule of days ago the sucessor to Huawaei's recently launched Ascend P1 smartphone was Spotted in th e wild alongside the company's Ascend W2 , which is the sucessor of the low-end Windows Phone * running Ascend W1 recently launched at CES.

Now a press shot of the company's next full-HD flagship device has surfaced online courtesy @evleaks Via Unwired View . THe 6.99mm thin Ascend P2 is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month.

Huawaei recently launched the Ascend D2 smartphone at CES that comes with a 5-inch 1080p display. However ,the Ascend P2 will come with a 4.5-full-HD dispaly as opposed to earlier rumours suggesting a 5-inch 720p display. Further alleged specs include 1.8 GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM , *GB internal storage ,13 MP rear and 1.3 MP front cameras , Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 3,000 mAh battery.

The company will be using the hiSilicin K3V2 processor featuring a Coretex A9 design and it also plans to use the Coretex-A15 architecture later this year.

The Huawei Ascend P1 LTE was unveiled by Airtel back in November last year as 'India's " first 4G smartphone '.It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor alongside 1GB RAM .It comes with 4.3 -inch Super AMOLED qHD display with Gorilla Glass 2, 4GB internal Storage and an 8-Megapixel rear Camera with Dual Flash. The Ascend P1 LTE runs on Android 4.0 and is powered by 2,000 mAh battery.

Acer continues to expand mid-range smartphones porfolio with addition of Liquid E1. The smartphones has a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Acer Liquid E1 is powered by a 1Ghz dual-core Processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB of inernal storage with microSD expansion option. It runs on Android 4.1.1  and has 1,760 mAh battery.

Acer Liquid E1 comes with5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera . For connectivity , It support 4G LTE , GPS , Wi-Fi 802.11/a/b/g/n and bluetooth 3.0 .This smartphone  weights 130Grams and measures 132 x 68.5 x 9.9 mm.

It comes Pre-loaded with Acer's own DTS -ready video and music apps . There are also no details available on pricing  and availablity as of now . For consumers who still to listen to the radio on go there is an FM reciver as well.

Acer  as a brand is still associated more with laptops and netbooks and quite rightly so as the company has launched only a handful of smartphones  till date. The company had first introduced a smartphone dubbed Acer Liquid way back in 2010. It's a bit of surprise that acer is continuing to adopt  the same naming series for the Liquid E1 when most companies  are looking at offering somthing fresh.

NOKIA GENERATE $270 MILLION PROFIT

Nokia Corp, turned a net profit of euro 202 million ($270 million) in the fourth quarter , copared with a loss of $1 billion earlier , but revenue fell 20 percent as it failed to make gains in the fiercely competitive market.

The Finish cmpany said Thursday that revenue dropped to euro 8billion($ 10.6 billion) from euro 10 billion as smartphone sales plunged 55 percent from a year earlier.

Nokia gave a grim outlook saying operating margins in the first quarter of this year to be " approximatly negative 2 percent, plus or minus four percent points " It cited increased competition and lowe-than expected for its flagship Lumina phones and cheaper Asha models.

Nokia sold 15.9 million smartphones in this quarte , down from 19.6 million a year earlier , including 4.4 million  Lumina Phones in the period , 15 percent less than in 2011.


CEO stephen Elop said he was encouraged that the company 's startegy had reached "underlying profitablity" and strengthened its finacial position but cautioned  that more cutbacks could be expected.

The companys stock dropped more 3 percent to euro 3.30 in early afternoon  trading in Helsinki.

LAVA TO LAUNCH XOLO X 500 FOR Rs 8,999

Lava is all set to launch its Intel-powered smartphones in india .Dubed as xolo X500 , this smartphone will come with the Atom Lexington Z2420 chip. This is the same chipset that intel showcased at the CES.

We have learnt from our sources that the Lava Xolo X500 is a dual-SIM smartphone ,which runs on Android 4.0 . It spots a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320.The processor clocks a speed of 1.2GHz and comes with Intel Hyper -Threading Technology. The device packs in 512 MB RAM , 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a 1500mAh battery.

The Xolo X500 comes with a 5-MP auto focus camera that can click seven images in the burst mode at 6fps. Lava has already shipped the first of the assignment and it's executed to arrive in the markets shortly for a best buy price of Rs 8,999.

The Lava Xolo X900 was the first Intel-powered smartphone launched in April 2012. It comes with an Intel Z2460 single core chip that clocks at 1.6GHz . It has a 4.03-inch screen with 1024 x 600 p display and offers 1GB RAM and 16Gb of internal storage. Lava Xolo X900 was launched wiyh Android 2.3 on-board , but later upgraded to Android 4.0 .This smartphone is currently available for Rs 17,500/-

WINDOWS PHONE 7.8 UPDATE EXPECTED ON JANUARY 31

Finally , there is some bit of good news for smartphone users with Windows Phone 7.5 devices . It seems that Microsoft is to roll out a windows Phone 7.8 update for these smartphones shortly.

Recently , Microsoft Posted an optional Windows SDK Update  for windows Phone 7.8 on its develouper's blog . This update offers two new Windows Phone 7.8 emulator images to the existing SD installation .

 With the help of these two emulators images the developers will be able to fully test how their Windows \phone 7.5 app's Live Tiles will look and behave they are running on Windows Phone 7.8 devices .

With recent reports have indicated that Microsoft will be launching the Windows Phone 7.8 Update Pretty soon . The British telecom carrier O2 had indicated that the update will rolled out by the end of January while Microsoft's Colombian Facebook Page had posted that this update will arrive on january 31 , 2013 .

 From current Scheme of things it appears that it's just a matter of days when Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 7.5 Users will get an update notification.

Furthermore , microsoft has also posted in its blog that " new phones with Windows Phone 7.8 are begining to ship " . Not sure of what Microsoft is trying to indicate through this . To us it can mean two things . One , handset maakers might be planning to ship their existing smartphones pre-loaded with Windows Phone 7.8 in near future. Second , it coud mean that the company is planning to launch ne smartphones on the lines of Nokia Lumina 510 and Nokia Lumina 610.

HTC M7 TO BE LAUNCHED ON FEBRUARY 19

Well 2013  is said to be the year of smartphones and  latest news of the year is that the new HTC M7 will be launched in February 19. Until now we were hoping to see the device at the Mobile World Congress scheduled to take place between February 25-28. But if HTC plans to launch it a week earlier at seperate event , it is likely to gamers more attetion.

The new HTC M7 has been rumoured for quite a while now , with recent onces indicating the possible look and feels of the device . it also been running on company's latest and yet -to be made official Sene 5.0 UI

Earlier this month , leaked images of the smartphone showed the HTC M7 running Senese 5.0 and of what perhaps might be new lockscreen. An earlier image posted by Pocketnow depicted thatHTC may have gotten rid of the ring and introduced a swipe - based gesture instead to unlock the screen.

More recently , a render of the device surfaced online , which seemed to be part of some animation clip instructing new owners on how to install new SIM card in the Smartphone.

Earlier rumoured specifications of the device indicated a 4.7 inch full -HD display , making it an incredible 468ppi. Other alleged specs include a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon Processor and a 2MP camera in front.

Intial rumour however , were suggestive of a 5-inch full-HD display and a 13-MP camera. But seems like Taiwanese manufacture is keeping the screen 5-inch screen excludive to its first 1080p device,the HTC butterfly.

MICROMAX A30 SMARTY 3.0 DUAL-SIM ANDROID PHONE AT Rs 3,849

Indian markets have been  overflowing with  new smartphones and tablets , now Micromax india's  device manufaturer has released their new flagship phone A30. Micromax A30 is a dual-SIM  Android phone to its smarty range priced at Rs 3,849 available at online retailer Saholic.

 The A30 Smarty 3.0 sports a 3-inch TFT capacitve touch display and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It comes with a 2-MP  rear camera with LED flash.

Underneath it's powered by a 832MHz Broadcom Processor with 256 MB RAM and has 512MB of internal storage with external expansion options upto 32GB via microSD card. The device supports dual-SIM functionallity and also features 3G support.it comes with 1,500mAh battery.

Earlier  dual-SIM offerings from the company in Smart range include A25 now available for Rs 3,550 and the A68 priced at Rs 6,499.

BYOND MI-BOOK MI7 ANDROID 4.0 TABLET FOR RS 11,499

Pune-based byond tech has launched a seventh tablet in Mi-book series as the Mi-book Mi7 priced at Rs. 11,499. The tablet will be available with online retailers like Flipkart and other distributors across the country.

The Mi-Book Mi7 sports a 7-inch capacitive touch screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and runs on Android 4.0.It features a 2-MP rear camera and a VGA front camera as well. It  support 1080p video recording.

The tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. It has 4GB of Interal storage with external expansion option of upto 32GB.

The device comes with various pre-installed application like Facebook, Angry Birds, Temple Run, Adobe Reader and more. Connectivity option on the tablet include Wi-fi and bluetooth apart from 2G and 3G calling support. The tablet comes with a 3200mAh battery.

In October last year , byond launched 3D-based Android tablet with 7-inch and 10-inch screens priced between Rs 4300 and 11,000. These tablets pertain to Mi-Book series , which include the Mi1, Mi2, Mi3, Mi5, Mi7 and Mi9.

Just a week ago, the company entered the phablet catogory with its 6-inch Phablet PII . the dual-SIM device comes with Android 4.0 an 8-MP rear and VGA front camera, 1GHz dual-core processor and a 2500mAh battery priced at Rs 14,999 and is now available across India.

Pune -Based Byond Tech has launched  a 6-inch dual -SIM smartphone -tablet hybrid in the country . Dubbed as the Phablet PIII , the device is priced at Rs 14, 999 and is now available across India.

At 11.3 mm thickness ,the Phablet PIII features a 6-inch FWVGA high resolution 5-point touch capacitive display ( 854 x 480 pixels) and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean stright out of the box. The  phablet features an 8-MP rear snapper with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera as well.

Underneath the Phablet PIII is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Processor and has expandable storage option up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with  a 2,500mAH battery. There aren't any details available for RAm or internal storage as of now.

The device support sdual-SIM (GSM + GSM )  dual standby functionality and boast connectivity option like Wi-Fi , 3G , Bluetooth etc.

Back in october Byond launched 3D-based Android tablets with 7-inch , 9-inch and 10-inch screens priced at Rs 4,300 and Rs 11,000 .The company is eyeing to  sell over one lakh smartphones per month by launching new range in lower price bracket and targeting 400 crore turnover in 2013-2014
