MICROSOFT WILL OFFER $100,000 BOUNTY , IF YOU FIND A BUG IN WINDOWS 8.1
Microsoft is up with a new challenge, as they are already prepared to launch the next version of Windows OS the Windows 8.1. Microsoft has announced a bounty of $100,000 USD in a bid to encourage developers and security experts to find the bugs in their upcoming product Windows 8.1
This program which starts on June 26 offers to pay $100,000 USD for finding the exploits in the Windows 8.1 preview. Windows 8.1 is an update to Microsoft's brand new operating system Windows 8. Microsoft clearly want's to leave nothing to chance a far as securing the operating system is concerned.
In-order to participate in this program Microsoft indicated that individual must be at least 14 years old. They have also posted on the quality or submition of the entries should be. Though there are no restrictions on the number of qualified submissions an individual submitter can submit and be paid for ,all bounties will be paid out at Microsoft's direction, which may indeed be less than $100,000.
Microsoft is also offering an additional $50,000 BlueHat Bonus for those who submit a valid defense to block a bypass technique that qualifies for a bounty, making the total potential reward to $150,000 USD.
Microsoft has also announced other programs such as separate bounty for Internet Explorer and is said to pay up to $11,000 USD for critical vulnerabilities for IE 11 on Windows 8.1 Preview
